Alma M. Karlin
Alma M. Karlin, a Celje native, world traveler, writer, amateur researcher, polyglot and theosophist, traveled a large part of the world alone between 1919 and 1927. She visited, among other places, South and North America, the Far East, the Pacific Islands, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Alternatively, you can combine a tour of the Old Castle with a city tour and purchase a joint ticket to visit the Old Castle of Celje + the Regional Museum of Celje or the Old Castle of Celje + the Museum of Recent History or the Old Castle of Celje + the Technopark of Celje.
Celeia exhibition
In the basement of the Prince's Palace, there is a permanent exhibition entitled A City Under a City that will quietly enchant you. The exhibition offers an insight into the life and culture of the former Roman city and reveals its importance in the ancient world. At the exhibition, visitors can discover hidden artifacts that were discovered during archaeological excavations, such as Roman streets, buildings, objects from everyday life, religious artifacts and other important evidence of ancient Celje. In addition, there are interactive displays that allow a virtual journey through the city and presentations that highlight the importance of Celje in the Roman period.
